the health of secretary of state hillary clinton. doctors say they're confident she'll make a full recovery from a blood clot between her brain and her skull. the condition brought on by a concussion that she suffered during a fainting spell at her home back in early december. chief intelligence correspondent catherine herridge is live in washington. when did these health problems start for the secretary? >> reporter: well, rick, for nearly a month secretary clinton has been dealing with health problems which began, according to her staff, after being overseas. on fred, december 7th, mrs. clinton has a stomach virus. the following tuesday, a trip canceled sending a deputy in her place. on saturday, december 15th, her aides say mrs. clinton became dehydrated from the stomach virus or which led to a blackout causing the concussion, and then last weekend on sunday b aides confirming the discovery of this blood clot. clinton's aides have not said when the fall happened, where she was when it happened or whether she was alone when it happened. rick: a lot of lawmakers want to hear from secretary

let? secretary of state, hillary clinton, in the hospital, with a blood clot week after reportedly sustaining a condition cushion in a fall. we will have the latest on that coming up. al qaeda group in yemen offering a huge reward to anyone who kills the u.s. ambassador to that country. that's all ahead unless breaking news changes everything. this is "studio b." >> first from fox at 3:00, president obama says congress is close to striking an 11 the hour deal to keep our nation from plunging off the fiscal cliff but he says the two sides still have ground to cover and the time is running out. that one-two punch that will kick in, hours from now, on january 1, and if the president and congressional lawmakers cannot hash it out, the united states could fall into another recession. here is part of the framework for the agreement. the bush tax cuts would expire for incomes above $400,000 for individuals and $450,000 for families. unemployment benefits would continue for one year and the estate tax would go up. we have learned lawmakers are still working out the automatic spending cuts.
of the bush tax rates and they go back to the clinton rates. the government would be bringing in more revenue, but that's going to take some time. that's not going to happen immediately and it's a relatively small amount in terms of what the government is spending every single day. that money would be spent pretty quickly. so, again, because we're now at this point where this is just a short-term deal, any of the major entitlement reforms that would actually bring major spending cuts are sngsly off the table right now. so, to answer your question directly without pointing a finger at either party, report the facts, there's no major spending cuts here, so it would not have a major impact on the deficit even if they get a quote, unquote deal. >> ed, your last question, your favorite show to do on fox news. >> i'm going to get in trouble. i love "the five" i love bret and i love shep and chris wallace-- >> and public relations-- >> let's go to mike emanuel also in d.c. and following the dramatic on capitol hill. surely this is your favorite show on fox, your debut on "the five", mike emanuel. >>
